The answer may sound like heresy to those who canonize Apple’s designers but, what if the Apple Watch wasn’t actually all that well-designed? So far, the Apple Watch doesn’t seem very useful. Apple has constrained Watch functions too tightly to create rich and meaningful experiences, notifications are not working that well and the watch still leans heavily on Siri. Moreover, the watch hasn’t proven that fashionable either. Drake, Karl Lagerfeld or Beyoncé, they all seem to have already dumped the wearable.
To prevent a sales crash, Apple has just betting on software experience improvement but one of the questions is: will it be enough to make it Queen B’s favorite watch?
